AWAKEN
BEAUTY, LOVE, AND JUSTICE
THROUGH JAZZ
Our CONCERTS, JAM SESSIONS, and LISTENING GROUPS are SPACES for:
-
LISTENING to the music, each other, and the Muse.
-
MENTORING one another in the history, community, and culture of Jazz.
-
ADVOCATING for the music, the musicians, and healing, freedom, and equality for all
WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF MUSICIANS, MUSIC LOVERS, AND JAZZ ENTHUSIASTS
WHO SEEK TO AWAKEN BEAUTY, LOVE, AND JUSTICE
THROUGH JAZZ CONCERTS, JAM SESSIONS, LISTENING GROUPS.
- We awaken BEAUTY through jazz by learning to improvise and create in the moment
- We awaken LOVE through jazz learning how to collaborate with diverse people
- We awaken JUSTICE by learning how to lead others in co-creating a better world
We do this through concerts, jam sessions, and listening groups.

COME TO A CONCERT
The MUSE Jazz Collective
curates concerts for jazz lovers and fans to engage with
some of the best jazz musicians
in the Bay Area. Led by local saxophonist Tom Catanzaro, drummer Isaac Schwartz, and friends, the concerts happen once a month on a Sunday night from 7 to 9 at the Vineyard in downtown Concord, hometown of jazz legend Dave Brubeck.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite or at the door.

ATTEND A JAM SESSION
Check out the MUSE Jam.
It’s a jam session for musicians, enthusiasts, and the curious. Every Thursday night from 8-11 at the Vineyard which is on the plaza in downtown Concord. There's a $10 suggested donation for the jam session to keep them happening. The pros
kickoff the session with a set
and then it's open for the muscians to jam until 11:00.

LISTENING GROUPS
The MUSE listening groups
are in their informal phase.
They are built on our value for mentoring relationships,
the collective's way to train musicians through imitation,
so they can innovate.
More information to come
